Note:

    • Reading records can only be accumulated for one academic year.  Students can show the reading records and evidence to their English subject teachers throughout the year, who will then sign on the application form of Reading Award Scheme.  (The form can be downloaded from the p-drive.)
    • English teachers are strongly advised to make good use of the Reading Journal to keep track of students’ reading records.
    • English teachers who have collected the completed application form(s) should submit them to the English TA on or before 20/12/2013 in the 1st term and 30/5/2014 in the 2nd term.
    • Students can hand in English Language book report assignments / reading activity assignments as quality evidence of reading. (Samples can be located at p-drive)
    • Students can submit book cover designs, bookmark designs and book reviews / book reports.  For book cover designs and bookmark designs, students have to attach a brief summary of the books in about 50 words for the junior level and about 80 words for the senior level.
    • The reading records submitted should be of good quality.  Untidy and/or poor quality works would not be accepted.  If there is any doubt about the quality of reading evidence, the English subject teachers will make the final decision.
    • Reading activity may include an oral presentation to the teacher or before the class.
