Students took part in two games, focusing on their English speaking and communicating with others. Running dictation had students memorize sentences, run it back to their team mates and recite as much as they could. (Congratulations to our winners!). Human bingo had students ask one another and staff members questions about them in order to complete their bingo sheet. These were very entertaining games with everyone learning about one another.
As a welcome back and introduction to English Wednesdays with the new staff, students participated in fun games. Within one game, students took turns answering and asking questions while passing a ball of string between them creating a big ‘spider-web.’ Within the other, students had to race to sit in a chair, freezing as an animal whenever the teacher turned to look. It was a fun way to meet one another, all while encouraging English speaking skills.
